We played very well tonight and we were beaten well.
There were a lot of positives on top of two decades and half a season of poor to mediocre.

I’d back the players, back the system and see what works, find out what doesn’t. We’re going into another top 4 finals contender in Geelong, so we should use it as a test.
We kick more from our opportunities, the panic doesn’t sink in and its a different game. You need to try this against quality opposition.
Had next week not been Geelong… yeah throw in the towel.

You can’t say we played well when we dominate inside 50’s and can’t kick goals.
It’s a pretty simple game. Kick more goals than the other team.
We were ok. Let’s be honest.
If we can say we played well we accept mediocrity. Same story for last 20 years.

Merrett - 30 disposals. Now has 30+ disposals in 5 of his last 6 games.
Langford - 29 disposals at 80% DE. He is now a established midfielder.
Parish - 22 disposals, 6 clearances, 6 tackles. Best hands in congestion.
Ridley - 25 disposals, 13 marks. Should be leading our B&F this season.

Just play the kids for the rest of the year, and get a top 5 pick.

What the ■■■■was that last quarter? Was there a gentleman’s agreement at 3QT?
West Coast gave us every opportunity to get back into it and we looked like we couldn’t be arsed doing it. They invited pressure with every possession and we just didn’t go with it. Worse, we wasted so much time when we did get the ball.
