Johnson does have one obvious advantage over every other point guard, what being a giraffe and allOther guys might have beaten the Bulls in their prime, but he's I think the only all-star PG who's beaten AIDS.

Payton started '90, Kevin Johnson '87. I’d definitely classify them as contemporaries.
Magic started in '80, forced to retire early. Isiah started '81
So some overlap, but I think most would consider the 80s as (roughly) the Magic-Bird era and the 90s as the Jordan-Ewing-Olajuwon era.
KJ & Payton (and Kemp) were 90s, Magic & Isaiah 80s.

You wouldn’t think that Boston would pick him up at 3 with Thomas and Bradley (although Bradley doesn’t necessarily shoot the lights out so to speak).
The Suns have Booker but a 1-2 punch of Booker and Hield would be INSANE with one coming off the bench or Booker playing the 3.
Pelicans could use him as a ploy to get rid of Gordon who is on a contract that he received on potential and has not delivered on.
