I went from winning a premiership in MSAC A reserve to being rubbish in bush league D grade in the years between 33 and 38. It’s nothing short of extraordinary what that man is doing at 40.
Ridley and Parish can’t even get through a month of footy and they are mid 20s

Steph out for a least a week. So wont be available for games 2,3 & 4 at minimum 
NBA players are generally investing int their bodies more than they used to l, and with sports science advancements they’re generally playing longer.
LeBron’s longevity is impressive for sure. But when you have Steph, KD, CP3 and others still playing at a high level in their late 30s it becomes a little less so.

There was also Jordan, Karl Malone, Kareem, Dirk, Tim Duncan, Nash and Stockton who all made it past their 35th birthday and played at a high level.
Very few made it to 40. And the ones that did were 5 years away from their career averages.
Advancements in sports science has been a large contributor though. Still an amazing accomplishment. Of the current / up and coming greats, (Jokic, SGA, Giannis, Edwards, Tatum, Doncic, Wemby), I’d say the majority should get to 35, but probably only 1 gets 40. And odds are by then, they’ll be very handy role players like Al Horford has been.
Steph, KD and Lebron are unique. That was pretty clear from the Olympic run last year. And it’s been great watching them towards the end of their careers. There’s a good group behind them though. All with varying game styles.
