NBA 2024/25

Just saw the score. Literally unbelievable.

Insanity… not watching but 28% FG from Cavs is crazy.

Mitchell got injured too.
Didn’t come back in the 2nd half but there was no incentive to do so with the game already lost.

Long way back from 3-1 down for the Cavs

sixers and mavs moved up into top 4 lottery

Mavs won lottery. wtaf.

Oh boy this Knicks and Celtics game is looking similar to game three early…10 point lead to Celtics striaght away.

Poor Knicks fans expecting great things after being 2-0 up and heading home. Then they get destroyed (game 3) and not looking good so far (game 4).

Boston really giving it to them early.

Absolutely stinks to high heaven. This is eerily similar to what happened with the AD trade. It’s almost like the NBA told the Pelicans “if you trade AD to the Lakers, we will make sure you get the #1 pick in the lottery”. And now this? Nobody had the Mavs anywhere near getting the top pick. Again, it’s another trade that send a superstar player to the Lakers, and then that team ends up getting the #1 pick and another franchise cornerstone after losing Luka.

Didn’t take long for the crackpot conspiracy theories…

If anyone ever tries to argue that the universe has an inherent quality of natural justice, point them to the NBA lottery. Mavs pick 1 is flat out absurd. And Spurs kissed on the proverbial yet again.

Celtics hit four three in the last minute to close out the first quarter. Ridiculous.

There’s more than enough evidence to suggest so, especially when you consider:

  • After LeBron left the Cavs the first time, from 2011 they got 3 of the next 4 #1 draft picks (Kyrie, Bennett, Wiggins, whom they traded to Minnesota to get Kevin Love when LeBron returned to the Cavs in 2014 Free Agency).

  • The Pelicans won the 2019 Draft Lottery, and the Lakers, who were a 4% chance to land a lottery pick, ended up with the 4th selection of that draft, which ended up being part of the trade package to send Anthony Davis to the Lakers (the Davis trade was completed after the 2019 Draft).

  • The Mavs land the 2025 #1 pick, a 1.8% chance, after trading Luka Doncic to the Lakers for pennies on the dollar.

What the Mavs got in exchange for a top 5 player in the NBA was well unders. But now it makes sense.
