They might do it once or twice, then not bother.
They’ll have to bring four or six teams down here because of the travel time and distance and make it a stand alone series for those teams.
The game would have to be played between 9am and midday so that it captures the east coast and west coast of USA. And because of that, it’ll need to be on a weekend or during a long weekend.
And that doesn’t quite work because NBA scheduling doesn’t really do ‘back to back’ games with a week’s break in between.
They might do some small market games on the Friday night and through the week, but it still doesn’t quite work scheduling wise unless you play games during the week for the US tv watching timezones.
Pre-season games will continue to happen though. They are perfect exhibition games that no one really cares about the result as long as players don’t get injured and don’t draw much of a tv audience.
