NBA 2026/2027 Season

He averages more games a year than Brown. Let alone Embiid.

Particularly when it comes from a Durant fanboy. Champion of the cut and run.

he cant carry any more lil bro

Yeah pretty much.

TBH I wanted to see him go back to Cleveland. Just be the 4th, 5th best player back where it started. I feel like he is pushing it uphill to start again now. Unless he strips his role right down (but I don’t know that he can do that).

I find it bizarre, but maybe only because in my mind he was going to somewhere he’d been before. If Brown and Maxey can carry the majority of the regular season load, and they can get to playoffs with a healthy Embiid and Lebron it’s going to get interesting

dingus jr is a big 76ers fan.

He is discontented today.

Don’t worry Steph, lebron may have gone elsewhere but reinforcement has arrived

I’m staggered he can command $27M a season now.

Being a Knicks fan is the only thing getting me through this season as an Essendon fan. The hope the dark times will clear.

wtf??? Lots of noise, really loud noise about Curry to the Celtics!!

Arguably played for unders for quite a few years.

Did the right thing by declining the option, allowing GS to have a crack at other targets - he didn’t have to, most 35+ year olds are fully into self preservation mode.

He’s a bell end in so many ways but I think he’s been a good clubman in this instance?

If they turn Paul George into an expiring Steph Curry contract, they’ve done very well.
Could set themselves up for a shot at Jokic next off-season. And Curry and Tatum would be good watching for the one year.

Doubt it happens though.
Think Golden State (and their fans) would want a retirement tour and start afresh whilst riding out the Wemby / OKC dominance.

Plus, Paul George is a three year premium contract (he’ll pick up that player option). Can’t think many teams would be wanting that contract. Unless they are giving up someone they do not want at all.

Would’ve been useful to try for this when we had Brown, rather than sending him to the Sixers for well unders. Doubt he would be traded unless he said he wanted out, but I can’t imagine him playing anywhere but Golden State. He should stay a one-team player.

Sources: Josh Kushner, Bob Iger to buy Lakers for $12.5B

The Los Angeles Lakers are being sold to Josh Kushner and Bob Iger for $12.5 billion, a record-breaking price, multiple sources told ESPN.

The businessmen were involved in the expansion process in Las Vegas, but in a stunning turn, they pivoted to make an aggressive offer to buy the Lakers from Mark Walter, who purchased a controlling interest in the team from the Buss family last year for a then-record franchise valuation of approximately $10 billion.

ā€œAs lifelong NBA fans, we are deeply honored for the opportunity to become stewards of the Los Angeles Lakers, one of the most iconic sports franchises in the world. We have immense respect for the leadership and vision of Jerry and Jeanie Buss,ā€ Kushner and Iger said in a statement. ā€œOur long-term commitment is to build on that foundation, compete at the highest level, and serve this extraordinary team, its fans, and the city of Los Angeles.ā€

Definitely a WTF moment. Have to wonder what is going on in the background of this one.

Walter is running out of money, under investigation from the Feds, and he needs the cash to pay down his loans.
