What are fellow Blitzers up to?
Moyneyana is on. Something will be on in the Big Smoke up on the corner of Bank and Sackville. I normally hit the sack around midnight anyway, being an abstemious chap.
Don’t forget to throw a boomerang in 2015, and catch it in 2016.
(“Cheating” by using an indoor foam rang is acceptable.)
That’s the geekiest thing I’ve ever heard.
Lol.
Actually a nice quirky little tradition.
I have a real Roomerbang I was given when I was about 7 years old, that went missing for years, but just recently turned up … if I’m anywhere near sober, I might give it a crack.
(Hate to lose it for a few more decades)
Staying home and keeping the dogs inside so they dont freak out with all the illegal fireworks being set off in the neighbourhood, same as every year.
fireworks been going off every night for the last week, don’t think the next few days will be any different.
Have to start 6am New Years Day. Will be in bed early.

Fair arm then?
Shame I didn’t throw rangs when I was a kid – missed the opportunity to throw through four US states with one throw!
(Best to get one that does a couple loops, see if you can get through ten or more states in one go…)
■■■■■■, sober, solemn reflection and undress…?
HAP on fire … two posts, two sharp lol’s …
Smoke too much pot, have my brain dissolve, phone tripper and apologize.
l will be on a train, probably asleep for the new year. l am going to Xian to see the Terra Cotta warriors. We only have 3 days off work, but l have asked for an extra days leave. As it is half that time will be spent on a train either going there or coming back. A long way to go, for not much time on the ground, but l am leaving China soon and haven’t had much chance to do some sight seeing. l will be in full on tourist mode.
Go to work and try not to yell at too many people…

That sucks Jack … I don’t get it??
With a contract up?? & ^^that being the case, why not take 4-6 weeks between knock off & heading home?, & have a good look around??
■■■■■■ hell, total fire ban means family bbq will be at my place again. Was hoping for an irresponsible nye.

Same for me.
I hate those ■■■■■■ with their fireworks, especially this year with bushfire concerns all around us.
I actually hate the farking waste of money all these firework events bring on. Lord Mayor Doyle is a dopey turd to spend $2.8 million. It would help the homeless much more.
Lord Mayor Doyle is a dopey ****. All you needed to say.
When the main Chinese holidays are on, like Spring Festival (Chinese New Year), transport is almost impossible to arrange. Tickets are booked out months in advance, as you can imagine with about 300 million people all trying to go home. Even with extra trains added to the best and most comprehensive rail network in the world, the system can hardly cope. In the past l have used those holidays to fly out of Macao to Thailand or elsewhere, to escape the mayhem. Depending on when l find a new job, l am planning one long trip. First l would like to go to Chengdu where they had the big earthquake a few years ago, to work in a panda sanctuary for a day. Then take a train through Kunming, all the way to Lhasa. l also need to squeeze in a little trip to Nanjing (formerly Nanking) to visit the memorial there.l will be on a train, probably asleep for the new year. l am going to Xian to see the Terra Cotta warriors.
