The Packers were poor. Really they’ve been poor for 3-4 weeks now; they just haven’t looked the same since the second Vikings loss.
It is a typical Packers playoff bomb-out in that a few little things happen and set off a series of catastrophies - give them a short field early on a questionable call, then Elgton Jenkins gets hurt and the scout teamer that replaces him gets called for holding three times. Your reliable kicker misses from inside 40 yards for the first time the whole year.
Love is regressing and I blame some of that on a lack of receiver depth (Malik Heath, come on) but he clearly had a sophomore slump; perhaps the weight of expectation as well as a full year of film being available to the rest of the league has brought him back to earth. Right now he is about one step above mediocre.
I haven’t had any real delusions of playoff success for the last 2-3 weeks so the fact this season ended with a thud is kind of expected.
