Nasty hit

Detroit safety Morice Norris was in “stable” condition on Saturday (AEST) after being taken from the field in an ambulance with a frightening injury that halted the Lions’ NFL pre-season game against the Atlanta Falcons.

“Morice Norris is in stable condition and has feeling and movement in all his extremities,” the Lions said in a statement after the scary scenes unfolded at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

“He will remain at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta overnight for observation.”

I think that means that every QB that was on their list at the start of the pre-season is now injured. They went and signed Tyler Huntley solely to have a QB for pre-season games.

Great to see Saleh is back as Defensive Co-ordinator at SF.

Not so good to see Moody still there as kicker - he missed 10 field goals last year, as well as the miss that lost the Superbowl the previous season.

Now that’s over I have to watch the Giants go around again in the NFL. It’s a never ending cycle. New Yorkers are excited after the trade/draft and preseason, which as an Essendon supporter, all feels very familiar!
