I’ve spent 13 years on/ off in Canada, and followed the Nth American sporting codes aa a result.
I love the AFL- or at least the one I remember- but both NHL and NFL are great sports. Different, but great.
I’ve often told fellow Canucks that Aussie rules and NHL are actually remarkably close from a live viewing experience. NFL is the same level of physicality- but more like a very violent game of chess than the ballistic nature of AFL.
