Well done Jobe, and a great effort from 'the pig'.

Some points from this season's Nobby

  • Jobe Watson has now equalled James Hird in winning his 5th Nobby Clarke medal.
  • Runner up this season was the very consistent Michael Hibberd who polled in 15 matches during the season, the most of anyone.
  • Jobe managed to poll in 12 matches.
  • In equal third spot were two young guns in Dyson Heppell and Jake Melksham.
  • Heppell polled in 9 matches, as did the 6th placed Jake Carlisle.
  • Melksham polled in 7 matches. His first votes did not come until Round 11 against Carlton. After the bye in Round 13 Melksham scored the most votes, polling 24. Despite his injury Watson managed to poll 20 in this time.
  • 26 players managed to score a vote during the season from 36 players who played at least one match.
  • Tayte Pears played 11 matches without polling, the most of any player
  • David Myers managed just 2 votes from 20 matches.

Melksham equal third? Wow! Was a hell of a second half of the season from him. No surprises that Pig and Jobe are 1 and 2 though.

Who says fans are uniformed. I think you guys have nailed it.

Usually one of the Top 3 in the Nobby Clarke is a bolter and is not relected in the club B and F.

Think it will be Melksham - Expect him to be 7th or 8th.

Agree Melks probably wasn't in our top 3 this

+1. Definitely Jakes best year, but he won't poll more than BJ.

Is anyone going to collate the first week's votes, or...

Been done as an edit in the original post wim.

All done above. Just doing Round 2 now.

Updated

Amazing that Heppell got one vote against Brisbane which means the consensus of Blitzers that he was EFCs 5th best yet in the coaches votes he got the perfect 10.

Good Onya Redbull.

Appreciate your work :)

The final tally really does represent where the players performances were for the year IMO. If I was to compile a B&F, Nobby tally for the year I would not change a thing except for Hibbo - He played some quality football this year end I would rate his work (even though he missed games) higher than everyone below Mark Baguley, and only on par with Bagg and Hurls due to his time out injured.

Wot, no votes for Zerrett!

Soooo, Ryder was our 2nd best player this year.  Geez it would hurt to lose him for peanuts.

Colyer made the top 10.  Un-■■■■■■■-believable.  What a year.

Zaharakis made it into the top 5.  Which is a good result requiring some level of consistent high level output.

Stanton at 9 also a bit of a surprise given the internet indecent assault he received on here after the final.

Goddard, Chapman, Winderlich and Fletcher showing that the ole boys still got it.

JoeDan, Gleeson, Jerrett and Ambrose polling some votes indicating that the young-uns have the ability to be be in our top 5 players on the park.  Something Zerrett has not yet displayed (unbelievable really, isn't it).

Staggered Jerrett outpointed Zerrett.

Sack the judges!
