Three players in McKernan (Round 1), Ambrose (Round 3) and Colyer (Round 4) scored their only votes for the season in the first 8 rounds.

It was during these rounds that Hurley set up a massive lead over Zac Merrett by outscoring him 25 votes to 12. Also making his move towards his podium finish was David Zaharakis who scored 16 votes. Goddard scored 19 of his 27 votes in the first 8 weeks.

During these 7 games Darcy Parish failed to pick up a vote, despite getting 13 votes for the year. Joe Daniher also struggled to pick up votes during this time, only managing to collect 3 of the 27 votes he socred.

James Stewart scored all 5 of his votes over the final 7 matches of the season, while Darcy Parish scored 85% of his votes (11 out of 13).
