Slater has been charged for it

Soft. I understand the ones up the middle but shoulder to shoulder should be play on!!

This isn’t my first code, so I’m not, you know, perfect on all the rules.
So can anyone explain to me why that Slater bump wasn’t…

‘The Referee (or Review Officials) may award a penalty try if, in his opinion, a try would have been scored
but for the unfair play of the defending team. A penalty try is awarded between the goal posts irrespective
of where the offence occurred.

Would a try have been scored if he’d tackled with an arm as well?

I thought that’s what the penalty try was for - where it’s like a 99% would’ve been a try except for the penalty. I almost think he’d have been better off doing a proper tackle.

But I’m even less clueful than you are.

FARKIN GO SOUTHS!!!

Bye Bye Bunnies

Out of curiosity, why souths? Are you originally from there or were a fan of them from way back before 98?

Will be heading over for the GF. Not a Chooks supporter but going with my brother and his boss who are Easts members and sponsors.

Can’t see how Slater gets off that.

I can’t believe how good that photo is.

I thought the Shoulder Charge rule was to stop guys shirt-fronting opponents…this was shoulder to shoulder.
