NRL 2024

Finally seal it.

Cleary is best league footballer in the country by a fair stretch.

Match winner

The reaction from the Sydney/NSW NRL types for this GF match-up (Storm vs Panthers) will be interesting this week.

Panthers have won 3 in a row. Isn’t everyone just a bit sick of them winning it? Touch of arrogance, naturally. Interesting fanbase…

The Storm have their detractors there. Melbourne ‘Mexican’ team. 14 years on… still crying about the salary cap “cheats”.

Greasy conditions. Penrith have put the foot down when it was needed.

Cleary is a freak.

Not sure

There’s probably an element of intrigue how far the panthers can go. A 4 peat makes them more successful than parra back in the early 80s

They would be the most successful side since the great stgeorge sides in the 60s that won what 11 in a row?

20 point win in the end. Next Sunday should be a cracker. The two best teams are there.

We will miss Big Nelson. Spiritual leader.

5 weeks. Wow.

Was always going to go that way, but you have to give it a shot.

Deserved winner of the Dally M!

Won in a cliffhanger nudging out Tedesco.

Phil Gould left out of commentary for the GF Sunday night, apparently due to his horrendously obvious Panthers bias. Real shame.

Remember at halftime in 2020 when we were up 22-0 and he said “All momentum with the Panthers” or something.

Guy is useless and one of the worst biased callers. Will make it slightly better to watch.

He has already proclaimed during this week that we “can’t and won’t” win now that Nelson is out. Said it’s impossible.

He’s such a twit.

We’ve got our equivalents such as Sam Newman. Doesn’t commentate, but is an absolute ■■■■■■■■.

About as close as it gets.

I think, for either side, a premiership win on Sunday night would rank as their finest.

Penrith? 4 in a row. Nobody does that.

Melbourne? To stop one of the best of all time achieving 4 in a row and underlining their status as one of the greatest clubs and coaches (Bellamy) in the game. Particularly when many expected the Storm to struggle a little bit this year.

Forecast is a fine and dry evening… which for a significant sporting event in Sydney is quite rare.

This freakin’ town, I swear…

I have to confess that perhaps not all Storm fans are as classy as me and Mrs Wim.
