NRL 2024

No wonder Bellamy is hanging around. There is a premiership in this list if things go right

No surprises but Munster ruled out of the Origin series entirely. I wonder what his chances are of returning to the Storm by finals is.

It looked pretty severe. And he’s basically been limited by it all year anyway.

Aceman’s mate Brad Arthur sacked with immediate effect.

I was on the plane from Melbourne to Brisbane with Paps and Pezet last Friday.
Paps had no bandage, etc on his leg and was walking without a limp. Pezet had a compression sleeve on his knee and was on crutches.
Paps looked fit and ready but obviously rehab is important after his recent history.

That’s probably a decent result in the end.

Do you reckon the AFL landscape (media and the chorus of punters with opinions) would allow for a 74 year old man signing a 3 year deal as coach?

You can’t really argue with it on merit. Which is probably all it should come down to. Every side he coaches tends to perform to or above expectation. Even this current Dolphins outfit, which shows he’s still got it.

I kind of feel like in our code we’d have found a way to put a guy like that out to pasture and label him as too old and you need a new voice etc.

The closest I can really think of in the AFL era is Sheeds and even he was ten years younger (64) when appointed the GWS coach for a couple of years. Fagan is obviously approaching that sort of age now but he’s been an incumbent for a while there.

Bennett hasnt won one in 14 years. It’s a long time between drinks.

You can pencil in a loss when Klein referee Storm. He is the most useless ref in world sport.

That 6 again that led to the last Manly try was crazy

That’s a brutal reality check for the Sharks

And again…this time Aceman’s happy…and not happy…

No SOO chat tonight?

It wasn’t a murder the bloke got up as soon as the nsw guy was sent off

If it really hit him in the head it would of been a
Murder

I’m not sure how you can argue this isn’t shoulder to head

Argue the send off, sure. But he definitely got him in the head

I’d argue it was chest the. Head

Couldn’t have been too bad he got up and walked off after Saluai was sent off

If he was out cold he should have been put ina neck brace and stretchered off

If we are honest then every week in the NRL the tackle between the legs in 10 in the bin but not tonight

Give him 10 …
