NRL 2026

Yeh I rekcon he seems like a really good coach. And really good coaches sometimes come second…………….

I’m hoping the Broncos have already spent their tickets getting to the Grand Final. Storm look to have timed their run perfectly.

That’s what I think. Storm have had two solid hard fought hit outs against dogs and sharks, but they were never really in any danger of losing either of them. Last week Grant, Munster, Hughes to Papy looked pretty elite.

All I can think of is that terrible Storm-Broncos one from years ago with the absolutely horrid refereeing.

2006

Simpkins

That was the NRL sanctioned Shane Webcke testimonial send off match. Four distinct calls went against us that game, but the two worst ones were.

Berrigan dropping the ball over the goal line when trying to ground it, which he called a strip against Slater.

The knock on against Matt King off the bomb, when he clearly didn’t touch the ball. Should have been play on, which was a Storm try right next to the posts.

Not that it sits with me bitterly 19 years later……………………..

Don’t follow either of these teams but I really hope the Storm forwards are on point Sunday - The Bronco’s forwards are very big and strong and will run all day and the team has become a second half specialist. Backs I reckon Storm are better so it will be a game of who makes the least amount of mistakes! I am going to cheer for the Storm for the first time which is an odd feeling!

Does anyone know any Storm pubs to go and watch the game tonight?

There’s a Storm fan event at Crown tonight I believe.

Ticketed? or just show up?

Pretty sure it’s free to attend without a ticket.

How good would GF day be having the AFLW final before the men’s. NRL miles in front of the AFL re the women’s game.

NRL as an organisation is miles ahead of the AFL in basically everything now. It has this weird perception that it’s a sport, for people to watch for a bit of entertainment on a weekend.

There is even a woman’s magic round.

Nonono we dont do that here.

in promotion and logistical support, yeah

but in competition, not really. its broncos/roosters > massive fkn gap roughly the size of the pacific ocean > everyone else.

there’s no draft or anything like afl has in terms of “equalisation” so they’ve got a big challenge ahead of them in if/how to shorten that gap without fkng it up

Witch round is that?

The women’s game is being very keenly watched at the pop up bars around the ground.

they have thrown caution to the wind, ‘if i die, i die’ type energy
