Storm have agreed to release NAS from the last two years of his contract at his request.
I’ll miss all his needless sin bins and suspensions.

Awesome player when at his destructive best, honestly think if he comes off the bench for the past two GF that we win both.
however, I think this is a good move. Throw everything at Tino and get him back, as big and destructive as NAS without the suspensions and sendoffs. Literally throw everything at him. Particularly if we move on from Pappy and/or Munster. Already got Faalogo and Pezet waiting to take over from those two. Get Tino back!

In other news, the Eels have signed Pezet from the Storm which as far as I’m concerned freaking sucks.
Unfortunately for us it’s always one step forward and two steps back.
After showing some promise in the back half of the year we make a good signing like that but lose Lomax and chasing our tails again

Just watched the Test highlights. Another superstar performance from Walsh. Not such a good performance from the guys that painted ASHES on the turf though. Looked like a last minute rush job with a spray can from Bunnings 
Even my leaguie mate agrees practically every idea is stolen from the AFL or overseas and the sport lacks any of it’s own culture.
And the idea of State of Origin, although with only 2 potential rivals, it’s doable. Doesn’t work with Vic, WA and SA and you can’t get the fervour with the Allies. Taswegians aren’t going to lose their ■■■■ over Queensland or NSW players.

While that’s true, you gotta applaud V’Landys. He’s not sitting on his hands and happy with whats happening, he is actively trying to get the sport to take over the world. Gives everything a go to get in more viewers and interest.

partly. Magic round was pinched off English league. AFL subsequently pinched it off the NRL.
The AFL seems to have a huge chip on their shoulder/inferiority complex about NFL, for some reason. Probably envious of the gigantic quantity of advertising space in every match, and how little of that pesky sporting contest interrupts. I suspect we’ll see AFL matches cut down in coming years, stretched over a longer broadcast.
NRL’s a far superior watching experience these days. Clubs hold some power and some traditionalists are prepared to tell league house and/or the TV network to get stuffed.
