NYE restaurants

Anyone know of a good restaurant that celebrates NYE?

I know over here a lot now close on NYE because it’s a public holiday after 7pm and it’s too expensive to pay staff. Or something like that.

I’ve often gone out at about 7.30 for a feed and everything’s shut.

I thought people of an advanced age ate around 5.30pm?

I tend to forget and then realise I’m hungry.

Short term memory’s the first to go.

Noonan’s being conciliatory again: didn’t even object to me using a Doctor Who quote above.

A Doctor Who quote? I just thought it was a statement of fact. Is he a real doctor?

  1. Someone else said that line.
  2. In Glasgow, probably Uni of Glasgow; contemporaneous with the Josephs, Lister and Bell.
  3. You are conciliatory.

Interesting.
Are wooden cybermen the stupidest thing they’ve ever done?
In how many ways are wooden cybermen just really stupid?

Um, Wim, you know they made a new Christmas special this year, right?

Catch up.

Sorry, original poster: if there’s a good restaurant that does NYE, you’re too late.

Yeah, but I have far less to pick on with that one.
And I’m still getting over the wooden cyberman.
Still.
Okay, have they ever so blatantly ripped off a monster (that they put a lampshade on it notwithstanding) than the dream crabs?

Blame the guy with the unimaginative dream. Though the promo with the opening “mouth” was absolutely a red herring!

At least the gave a nod to the original, referencing face huggers and Alien.
