With their planned obsolescence, no right to repair and everything being propriety. Pass
I will have a few machines switching to linux cause of the win 11 thing. Not even hardware that old.
Well i’ve signed up to Superloops business plan. 250/100 for $85 for 6 then $100 after that. Better than Telstra 125/20 for $130.
Well port was all done this morning. However having technical issues from superloop. Something about assigning a static ip address from there end.
Hopefully will be fixed by 6:30pm Adelaide time.
Edit: All fixed. They actually called me to let me know. That’s good!
I currently have NordVPN but have been emailed a lifetime deal on Getflix. I guess this is because I used to use them about 10 years ago.
What are people’s thoughts on Getflix these days as a VPN provider? (I checked Whirlpool but most posts seem to be about transient issues).
when service providers offer lifetime deals i think bad cashflow probably going to drop off soon
Yes that is the obvious thought - also what I thought when I didn’t take them up on when they offered the same thing over 10 years ago…
Us old people invented the Internet.
Did you use archie pre-internet?
well your cohort is doing a stellar job, a news thread got bumped for a tech support/product/service question
Could have posted this in the dumb question thread.
Building new house. We have NBN FTTN.
From what I’ve read, its the ■■■■ version of NBN.
Am I better to go with a 5G home internet alternative?
4 people in the house, moderate interest use, not much gaming.
Most (all?) ISPs are doing free FTTP upgrades, you just have to enquire through them and they’ll organize NBNCo to lay the cabling to the pit in your property
Is there anything Blitz doesn’t know
No.
Yes, why we support Essendon? I have no idea why.
That’s what Blitz claims, anyway.
Part of the answer lies in your name
I have a follow up question which is super stupid so might leave it for MrHeff. Thabks for the steer.
