I certainly agree it’s nothing like Star Wars. Voyage of discovery is fair enough, but there’s a strong thriller element to it as well.

I don’t mind a lot of Liam Neeson recent stuff. Cold pursuit is a great dark comedy/action film. Some legit laugh out loud moments in it.
Non stop was good, the one of the train was good.
But the drop off in quality from Taken 1 which was awesome , to the next 2 was staggering

Mullholland Drive everyone knows it’s terrible, but for some reason there’s a certain cred obtained by saying a) you got it and b) you liked it. Come on it’s crap.
And generally I like Arthouse films.
I have a new attitude after Mother!, Hereditary, Upstream Color, Tenet and so on.
I don’t have to follow the plot.
I can look it up later if I need to.
I can just enjoy things viscerally and that’s okay.

The Sound of Music, bad acting and propaganda, it’s terrible what it portrays.
I like it a lot. It doesn’t mean anything and there’s no point trying to figure it out, because there’s nothing to figure.
It’s a movie that’s absolutely gripping from beginning to end and it’s full of unforgettable scenes. That’s enough to make it a great movie for me.

Love Heat, but love Manhunter even more, l like it the best of all the Hannibal Lecter movies, it was the only one that really gripped me, the first time l saw it.

I mean…Australia is a disaster of a movie, no question.
But whether you like it or not, and you’re perfectly entitled not to like it, Baz’s red curtain trilogy is exactly what he wanted it to be.
The fish tank scene in Romeo and Juliet is stunning.
I think a lot of people are confusing over-rated with ‘I didn’t like but was reasonably popular.’
An interview with a Vampire was pretty good.
Abe Lincoln Vampire hunter was good too.
You don’t have much love for Blade, Underworld or that chic flic vamp movies.
