Haven’t seen Goodfellas so can’t comment.
Again, I enjoyed The Godfather I just dont consider it to be one of the greatest movies ever. Hence why I think it’s overrated.
I love the book though. Read it many times.

Avenger movies are good, fun movies. But to see grown ■■■ men stand up and cheer and applaud like schoolgirls because spiderman comes through a wormhole is laughable. Little kids I can handle.

It was weird…
I’ve never been at the movies where the crowd reaction was more than laughing/crying etc.
When Thor came through the wormhole on one of them - the theatre erupted with cheers and applause, seriously cringe

Imo the prestige is Nolan’s best movie.
I remember going to see Australia at the cinema. As I stumbled out I actually approached a middle-aged couple to ask their opinion. They were generally positive. I still think it’s the crappiest movie I’ve ever endured.

There’s lots to figure And it’s fcking brilliant.
I meant there’s no answer. You won’t find “the solution” because there isn’t one. I saw David Lynch interviewed about it. He makes movies out of scenes and characters. He puts them together in an order that feels right. But there’s no plot that requires exposition. Some things make some sense and others don’t.
Mulholland Drive was actually shot as a pilot for a tv series.
It didn’t test well and the series got canned. Lynch then went and shot additional scenes and made it into a feature.
For me it was nothing to do with the special effects, I’ve enjoyed plenty of movies with tacky special effects, I just found the story extremely boring.
Remember all those ■■■■■■■ nerds having a cry over wonder woman and brie larson being captain pants or whatever her name was, embarrassing for the human species
Speaking of ‘Wonder Woman’, for a supposed ‘ground breaking’ girl power sort of movie it was rather crap. Same with Black Panther. Blade was far superior.
Yeah that was sick. Tom Noonan played the part of that nutcase real well. I’ll have to re watch it.
