Rumour has it that Whorethorn has him lined up for 2018.. (From the same source that said that Jaeger would be a Hawk in 2017 and that he had been advised by the Hawks not to play this year back in Feb).
So you are saying they started talking to him way after we did.
Cool.
It was suggested to me that he had committed a lot earlier than reported and that he had been in regular contact with their medical team… Maybe just a coincidence. If Mitchell ends up at the Hawks after GF day then this guy is two for two, either a great crystal ball, a decent source, or another coincidence.
Well we just saw something seemingly very heavily skewed in Freo’s favour for pick 3. All depends how badly GWS wants the individual pick. If that comes off for 1 would be phenomenal.
Disco and Sheedy will be swinging jackets around the TVSC for dayssss…
Leaves plenty in the tank for trading for further players or upgrading to higher picks from 15,20,37&55 also.
Well, I don't even know how that could work FOR GWS.
Upgrade pick 3 to 1
Downgrade pick 15 to (?) mid 20s 2017 pick
That sounds fair in itself.
But they also lose Patton?
McCarthy was supposedly worth two first round picks last year. GWS have just let him go in a trade that valued him at a very decent chunk of negative fairy dust draft points.
They’re operating under very different rules and conditions to pleb sides like us.
Cant believe that Fog’s comment in the twitter rumour thread saying that Patton “would” come to us if GWS would trade him hasn’t sparked a bit of a run of rampant speculation in this thread.

And fog is absolutely correct. Unfortunately Patton is too valuable now, and GWS simply will not even entertain the thought of trading him.
