Was going to post this too. I wouldn’t be suprised if we did. We have many gaps in our list though. If we did drop our ladder position and could get above any bids for Kako then I reckon we’d go after a half back who has good skill (and hopefully plenty of mongrel too). Match any bid for Kako and then with our later picks speculate on a Key Forward.
We also have Hunter who I reckon the club will keep for another year.
Armstrong with our first pick would be ideal with Kako would give us a good young developing forward line then keep Hunter on a one year deal
Just quoting myself back in March when he was suspended.
That tribunal decision killed his career and he doesn’t have the mental resilience to fight through it. Such a shame, but at Essendon we cannot have nice things.

They had Mihochek, Cox/Cameron, McStay, Johnson, Elliot who all played forward last year.
I would have neither, and we still have Hunter to come back.
Swap him for the post-ACL McStay. Even with a wooden leg Dan’d be more use.
The ben brown comparisons are pretty accurate at this minute. Both useless from the same age wright is now (28 next month)
The big difference being, ben brown had multiple good seasons, not just one
Brown had actual pace on the lead too.
I suspect one of reasons we go long to wright is because we don’t think he’ll create separation on a lead so all will end up with is a shallow entry that bounces out instead of deep one.
I think that’s crap and more effort needs to be made to block for him so he can lead
