Curse that American spell-check on this forum. The metre in ‘2-metre’ probably refers to his height so ‘m-e-t-r-e’ is the correct spelling. Unless of course we’re talking about a gas-meter, or some such, in which case ‘m-e-t-e-r’ is the correct spelling.
