I don’t remember
edit - so he was good in 2 games. still not enough he needs to play to that standard every week imo.

He got a standing ■■■■■■■ ovation!
Sorry to say but I really like 2MP and don’t see him as a fill a gap player at all really. Great contested mark, can kick a goal, can pinch hit in the ruck, Big bodied. This guy can kick 30 goals in a year once we are actually good. (Top 4)
He is a genuine tall target for us and TBH I am not sure we are using him to best effect, I just feel he has so much more in him.
I was fortunate enough to play about 5 holes of golf with him at Riverside by chance before the season started.
He is still relatively young, and has a calm respectful and humble manner about him. He is a great bloke, and I think he has huge upside as he matures.
I think some player’s struggle to believe they have a wright (pun intended) to show leadership. I think as Pete gets older this will come more naturally and he will be more likely to impose himself with greater aggression and authority.
He has been far better than expected, and he has the ability to become better still.
I think that will happen as the whole team gets used to paying together.
Doesn’t work hard enough. Last night I was seated in M53 Row C, which is around the 50m arc Olympic Stand. A great vantage point to see the forward line function. A few times, I’m not sure if it was temporary handover but he was manned by a Dees backman who he was comfortably 10cm taller than. Instead of demanding the ball and trying to exploit the mismatch, he just stood there and did nothing. Several times when we had the ball on the wing from a slow play (mark or free) and we are looking for a target to kick to, zero movement from anybody. That’s why we continually broke down across HF last night, and the forwards and their lack of movement, even just to create space for others, was a massive reason.
I absolutely agree. If I had last night again and was a selector…I would have played Philips, gave Hooker a spell and sat 2MP in the square and told him to hit every contest with as much gusto as possible.
IMO, Philips and Draper double team Melb big fella and 2MP keeps May honest in the square…is a far better mix
You’re kidding right?
He was good last night and has been most of the season.
The forward delivery was diabolical.
Two metre polarising Peter
Some really good points, and to my point he needs to gain that authority and aggression to demand the ball and hit it up.
He is in a new club, trying to build his brand from a zero base, and hasn’t matured enough to fully grasp the influence he can have.
At the movement … it’s like “please sir may I have some more”
At some point I hope he lets the real Bomber Free and demands the ball.
Yeah, he’s been hot and cold, and those hot games he was imposing himself and putting in 2nd and 3rds, and looked good.
If he can get to doing that game in game out, & then get better at it and more confident as he matures, we’ll have a Winner.
plays meek
Shows a bit of class now and then but he isn’t being used to give Draper a real chop out so I’m not sure I see the point. Him and hooker together make us far too easy to rebound against
I actually agree with you on this point.
His value to the team is as a chop out ruckman. He actually competes really well in the ruck, he just can’t do it for extended periods.
But he hasn’t done enough as a pure forward to cement a spot.
It’s odd, he was spending more time in the ruck when Phillips was in. The coaches do seem determined to ruck Draper for every possible minute that they can.
Needs to show some aggression/urgency in his game and demand for the ball
They do, at least last week when Draper was dominant you could understand it to a degree. This week where Draper was struggling (though not being disgraced by any means) it’s a bit more of a head scratcher. To then have Draper forward for the last 10 minutes Cox ruck and Wright off I find really puzzling.
I guess it was a bit of a roll the dice hail Mary situation because we where being held at arms length but if it’s a move you want in your tool bag why not use Draper forward at stages through out the game rather than at the last possible moment when he’s already gassed.
If it’s because you don’t trust wright in the ruck then don’t pick him. Pick Bryan or Phillips
2.04MP???
Crew cuts were in back then
Unfortunately.
Chappie would’ve rocked the current mullet trend.
