I fear that we may revert to the âkick it to Peterâ strategy and make ourselves more predictable. Our forward set up has worked well because of the various avenues to goal - that and Kyle Langford being a gun. Hopefully our structure / strategy largely stays the same with Pete replacing the resting ruck.
I do very much look forward to seeing a forward who can get up to the wing / half forward and compete in a pack mark situation - been killing us this year.
Weid has been doing ok in the âpack marking on wingâ stakes the last few weeks. He is starting to show that a good run of consecutive games in the same spot with a role to play is what it would have taken to get him better. Now Weid and 2LP can both sync and we have that one-two forward punch we have craving
While l am sure it is an exercise in mind games to keep Norf off balance, he could still come in and it is looking more and more likely that he will. Norf now have to lan for 2 scenarios, Essendon with and without an extra 2m.
