Damnit, I have to turn off ignore for that postā¦
Looks like heās about to kick North Melbourne to Tasmania.
Thatās enough for now, I have work to do
Oh you know Iām searching you in this thread now!!!
Find it amusing that the ones quoting Nino get the mpst likes
That looks like Bontempelli versus any of our mids.
ill admit, i was wrong about him - 13 months ago!
Hahahahaā¦loving how much Nino is featuring in these
I never understood why there was such push-back to getting him in the first place. He cost a friggin future fourth rounder. We just used a pick 50 on McDonough, ffs.
At the very, very least, he was going to be a stop-gap while we developed some young key forwards and rucks. If all he ever became was that, and he only played for 3 years as a fill-in and was then delisted, heās still be worth a future fourth.
The fact that he was a former top 10 pick who had shown enough in his early years to receive a big contract from Gold Coast, suggested that there was at least the possibility of some legit upside to this 24 y/o.
It was a no-brainer. Low risk, and turned out to be a massive reward.
100% this.
I supported his recruitment but considered him not a lot more than merely an adequate in fill while others develop - and I feel like a bit of twit even for that.
This is hilarious!
Iām happily eating my words
Wow you went back and quoted a post I made 13 months ago. You must have a lot of time on your hands.
I was totally posting ironically that day (and all the other days scotty hasnāt found yet).
What this shows is that Blitz often lives at the periphery of good judgement. A player is labelled a potato, or fantastic, depending on their last game or two.
Players have form lapses and do not become duds as a result. Peter Wright is, and has always been, a strong mark, highly mobile and a spectacular kick. Combined with all these attributes, he offers consistent effort and has no interest in sitting on fences!
We are very very fortunate to have him!
I notice the Saucemeister still hasnāt been GIFd yet.
I mean I am technically at work
