They cant cancel or postpone round as it would be a nightmare for the AFL. I reckon they should just make the game between Crows and Cats a draw give both 2 points.
Surely the AFL just have to postpone/cancel the entire round - not just the Crows game.

alternatively all teams could have one more bye during the rest of season to even it out.
It is a rigged fixture after all.
This is awful awful news. I don’t see how Adelaide can play this week, though I have no idea what can be done to keep the season going. Just sickening to hear.

Just cancel the whole round.Why? I don’t get this line of thought. Unless they put the whole season forward a week & play the GF a week later, it creates all sorts of chaos. But even that would likely create it’s own drama with cricket etc.
The club who’s coach it was will be understandably out of sorts to play for this week at the least, but more likely for the next month, but other clubs will unlikely be very affected (other than perhaps Port, but they’ve already played).
This is a horrid event, but the whole world doesn’t have to come to a halt over it.
there are some things more important that a pissy 4 points in a sports environment, and this is a rare exception.
the most fair thing to do is just cancel the whole round, but the afl won’t do that, money still speaks the biggest language.
cancel the round, make sure as many people in the afl environment are looked after mentally and everything else first, and then worry about kicking a ball around an oval next week.

That would be unfair and affect many variables in the season. There are massive commercialisation and logistical issues involved with many stakeholders impacted by such decisions. That doesn’t downplay what has happened but there is much to consider when making these decisions.
