The best 18 year old who is proven at state league level against men ,not skinny Weady 65 kg kids,it a no brainier.we need a few that can make an instant impact, because apparently we have heaps in the twos that are going to be stars in time.

Partial list of recent EFC draftees who were not proven at state level against men:

Heppell

Daniher

Hurley

Carlisle

Zaharakis

It's nice, but it's not the be-all and end-all of drafting ffs.  Even of drafting guys who can make an impact in their first year.

  1. Eli Templeton

3 were top 10 (Daniher obviously would have been 1). Carlisle was 24 and Zaharakis 20-ish??? Bit different to 55.

EDIT: SV was probably talking about 26. Then again, if it is a weaker draft then maybe his point still stands. Carlisles draft appears to have been a fairly decent one.
