Not a media beat up.

explain why itâs of national importance then
of course itâs true, but does it really require the attention of everyone not at the institution?
The source was never reliable (left or right, no media is) but the general gist of whatâs in the article is accurate. The terms âMotherâ and âFatherâ are discouraged because they are not sufficiently inclusive. I saw no mention of the term âchestfeeding.â
Think of it as death by a thousand cuts.
I stop getting reacting to this stuff a while ago as Iâve kind of given up. This stuff eventually filters into government policy. Itâs further deterioration of society. Oh well.
Yes. Itâs absolutely insane.
Wait a minute, @simmo41. Did you go from ânot a media beat upâ to âof course itâs trueâ in just two minutes?
Did you even read what i said?
No, of course you didnât.
This is not uni policy. This is not being considered for uni policy. It is simply a paper published by a small group of academics who happen to work at the university. If youâre going to get all mouth-frothy every time a bunch of gender studies people say something peculiar and uncomfortable, Iâve got bad news for you. Theyâve been saying stuff like this for DECADES, does it look to you like anythingâs changed?
Not yet. Give it time though.
the publishing of the story itself is the beat up. content vomiters go looking for sht like this so they can fart it out into html format and put links on the facebook pages so reactionaries can get mad in the comments and some loser hits a kpi.
itâs a beat up in that it is ONLY being posted for social media engagement and NOT to inform the public
Ummm⌠what? I wasnât addressing you specifically, HM.
It doesnât need to be policy. Toe the line or youâre on the outer.
And yes, thereâs plenty changing. Not for the better but thatâs the way it is.
Ah, ok. Fair enough. Bit of a miscommunication between us over the precise definition of the term âmedia beat up.â
But what about the transsexuals where the âmaleâ is able to give birth?
Not very inclusive?
Do you object to everything the IPA publishes, too?
(Did you actually get to the link? Down for me. Iâm assuming the Daily Mail misrepresented it re: the two mother scenario, but wanted to check.)
academics can say what they want.
its mum and dad anyway for the general public or step mum step dad.
yeh some families have 2 mums etc or 2 dads, but gestational and non gestational parent will never be widely accepted, apart from medical journals if that is their aim.
but yeh media get what they want out of that article, click bait.
Itâs 'transgender you disgusting, racist bigot.
i should try and get a job at one of those blogs. iâd be unreal at rage-baiting
monday: post about inclusive language âproposalsâ (that i make up)
tuesday: post about bike lanes
wednesday: post about âproposedâ hiring quotas (again, made up)
thursday: post about extending the aflw season by cutting the menâs season short
friday: take the day off because iâve already hit my targets for the week, celebrate by drinking a 20 litre barrel of roundup
Ok with the rest, but replace Roundup with an environmentally friendly weed poison, like Bioweed.
That would be contrary to everything he âbelievesâ in.
fair call, thanks
