Essendon, under new coach Brad Scott, is set to head north to play Gold Coast on the Suns’ training ground, across from Metricon Stadium outside the club headquarters.

Thursday, February 23
Gold Coast v Essendon, Austworld Centre Oval (Carrara), 4pm AEST (5pm AEDT), (6 x 25 min, no time on)

Elsewhere someone says it will be on Thursday 23rd and involve 6-8 quarters (presumably not 30 minutes) of AFL and VFL squads.

Hopefully we have a VFL squad by then.

It’s a fair hike from the Sunny Coast and there’s a fair chance I’ll be in NSW at that time.

The training ground in this photo from Deckham is the one Essendon used during covid in 2020.
But I’m pretty sure the Gold Coast have another training ground on the other side of Metricon…. So it would be good if there was a wider photo.
I’m pretty sure that other ground is better and has some facilities and is more likely to be the one they use
