I’m waiting for the time I can watch the teams run out and not feel that we look like school boys. Be interesting to see the physical difference today.
No bitterness?
Hawkins to tear McKay a new one, and we can reminisce about the good old days with BZT as key defender last year.
That would be embarrassing because it didn’t happen when he was at the kamgas
That is a fair effort, which l applaud. It must have taken you a few hours to put that together, but as much as l appreciate the work put into it, there is no way l will willingly listen to Barry Manilow.
Avoiding the match day threads is wise. They aren’t so much threads as character assassinations and at time you can almost hear the gnashing of many teeth, then the siren goes… and the game begins.
Some ‘learnings’ do accrue.
I personally think the Backline is too top heavy.
Is there any tv or streaming on the VFL game at 2?
Seems Heppell is not playing in either team today.
Yea agree, what makes it worse is the lack of flair and ambition to move through the corridor with pace. Was so infuriating the slow bring it to the pocket and then kick it long to the wing… I am hopeful this changes and we see a more aggressive attacking style.
played in red ie the B team
Important to manage him in order to get 22 H/A games out of him.
Nope. Only twitter updates
Hep deserves our respect, he took a lot of crap for this club, but we wasted a list spot on him in 2024.
Good pickup, which likely opens a can of worms.
Some of what’s written in match day threads and in threads on particular players is bitter and, at times, outright derogatory.
The guys spoken of play for Essendon, or are Essendon staff. It’s the club I support, and in my opinion, no one should be spoken about like that, never mind that it’s people in the team that I support.
However, this is a football discussion site operating in a country with “freedom of press.” Other posters can express their bitterness in whatever words they choose. Bitterness and the expression of bitterness, is not a character trait I would want to identify within myself.

No we haven’t. He may not be best 22, but he is more than handy as depth and if he plays VFL his leadership and experience for the young kids like Lual and Roberts who play similar roles will be invaluable
In the VFL thread it has been noted that Hepp is out for personal reasons.
Disagree, he could do all that as a coach or a VFL listed player. Heppell doesn’t make people better players, never has. He makes people better due to his relaxed nature but not footballers.
Not sure if this has been posted- from Geelong website.
