i’m sure i saw in the lead up to the last goal.
4 to 5 essendon players running back to defensive in the corridor, a couple of lose behind the play, 4 richmond players all up, 2 at the ball carrier and 2 inside fwd 50, yet somehow all richmond did was hold onto it, and wait for one of the 2 inside 50 to get a lil bit of space.
it actually does look worse than last year, which is interesting

Huss not fit enough at this stage, leaving us with no pressuring small, ball is easily taken out of our F50 and down the ground. Tiges pressing right up beyond the middle. Creating congested defence. The look faster and fitter than us.

The ball wouldnt exit the forward 50 if they actually lowerd the eyes and stop bombing high becomes very predictable to defend

Lachy Dovaston was the standout small forward of his draft class was the most obvious lay up of a draft pick of all time for us IMO.
You can’t be in a situation where if Kako is unavailable you’ve got a couple of old jobbers and Huss to rely on.

Blackiston is horrible. Nguyen really gets found out if the ball is kicked high. El Achkar has been good.. Nothing to give me any confidence we are going to improve though. Our skills are still in the toilet.
Merrett’s management have just rang the club to let them know he no longer wants an extension at Essendon and is actually putting in a trade request
