• Need some pace with better intent (Cooney and Dal)
• Chappy and Carlisle into forward line to try to stretch the lions (although that’s a risk also)
• Smack stays in
• The pig is lucky that Dal doesn’t have a right side also
• Ben to bulldoze again
• Melk to tag The Collingwood exile
• Flexibility in the small backs category but Bags, The Foetus, Demps and Dal to put the clamps on the small forwards rotating with the pig, Goddard and Stants
I’m excited about this week. If zaka cooney carlisle and chappy play then we can build on last weeks good performance with a win against an inform side which then allows us to beat richmond and geelong and set our season up. we were 4-4 last year then 6-6. Win this week and the next two and we have definitely improved.

Fletcher is an unknown. Looks to have a groin strain. Zaharakis , another week after rolling his ankle against Fremantle.
Possible line up for Brisbane game if Fletcher is unavailable.

Bombers are struggling for good, seasoned players. We need to have available Hocking, Myers, Kommer, Zaharakis, Pears and Winderlich to really put pressure on the current available list. Unfortunately, Myers, Hocking, Kommer and Winderlich are sometime off. Zaharakis and Fletcher? will most likely be available for the Richmond game. Many are disregarding Pears. This guy has talent. Don’t under estimate him once he is fully fit. Can play either end of the ground, kicking 3 goals in the VFL side last weekend. Like them to give Laverde a game as with Edwards, as they both have shown some talent in the VFL of late.

great call Jase.
all this talk of not having too many big guys up forward takes me back to when footy had designated positions. I don’t recall too many complaints about our forward line being immobile when it was

Dalgleish nowhere near fit enough; only came back to the VFL last week after a few weeks out and didn’t really set the world on fire.
Plus, it’s not like we’re exactly short of HB flankers

Bookies have Brisbane at 3.95.
Anyone panicking about a loss should get onto that. Would make you feel better.

Alot of corner turning going on in this thread. I’ll consider it turned if we can win this game relatively comfortably. Not a 100 point thrashing or anything, just control the game and win by 30-40 points.
If not this season will quickly turn into a car crash going straight through a T intersection.

Since when is vfl form a prerequisite to being named in the blitz changes thread?

Well generally speaking, the less you have, the more likely for an upgrade you are. Henson 101.
