The premise is reality… so why not try to make it better? They have tried various things… nothing much has resonated with the crowd. The moron yelling “we are Essendon, we are Essendon” even knows it is currently ■■■■… he’s half hearted most of the time

Great concept but whatever it is, it needs to be authentic and ‘Essendon’. Not something manufactured. Therefore, whatever it is, if it doesn’t involve a ‘Sheedy Jacket Wave’ then it isn’t really going to work. Waving jackets is Essendon DNA, can be done by every fan, looks fantastic and brings everyone together. And that’s what it’s all about.

The only issue with the Sheedy jacket wave is that not that many people actually do it. TBH either everyone needs to do it and get on it, because it looks ■■■■■ when it’s a half assed effort. Part of the issue is we’re not that good and the crowd is also lacking that killer instinct just
Like the players. Some of the NFL teams wave small towels in the air, look awesome because 98% of the crowd actually do it.
The choice is obvious, really.
