Unsure on Duursma. Obviously doing solid running of laps today means it’s on the lighter side. With 3 weeks off after weekend, expect him to be back as normal

Stopped by briefly, not much to add (great reports btw) except I thought Baldwin (against Cox) and Roberts were stand outs in the drills.
Stanton said next training session is Friday.
On a side note, I called the club before heading out, let the receptionist know that they need to update the players on the website (unless Weid, Stringer, Heppell and Kelly are still playing)

Baldwin reports are most encouraging. Two of him, Reid or rids getting a good year along with prior seh and Roberts would transform our transition from the backline

Any reports as to how Goldstein is tracking?
Shouldn’t be too far from Scott’s plans for 2025.
This is something that a club that doesn’t care about winning would do. We can’t treat any fixture like it’s not worth our time.

Watching Hoare this season in the vfl he has all the right tools to be an afl player.
How has his kicking been so far in training?
Was going to praise this article for saying we’re chasing finals for first time since 2021 and not first finals win since 2004.
Then realised the only other teams who haven’t made finals since 2021 are Adelaide, Gold Coast, West Coast and North.
Would love to know who Shiel is beating in marking contests.

I think Shiel will end up being an upgrade on McGrath by end of year
If he plays every week he’s a level above role player. I could see him being consistently in all Australian contention in the years ahead. Issues are injuries.
Unsure how much Duursma has participated in as I haven’t gone back and read all of the updates to refresh my memory but he was moving pretty gingerly when he has the coaching session with my son on the 10th Nov.
Said he had a larger exercise load the prior day but didn’t look to be moving easily then.
I said to him how we all wish he stays injury free as he’s such a valuable player to our team and such a nice young bloke that you wish nothing but good will for him.

Not much to add to this astute observation except to say that we here on BBlitz are truly fortunate to have had such a high standard of training reports over the years, with plenty of insights into the progress of individuals. This preseason has seen an almost seamless transition from nackers via CJohns among others to nickers. I thank all who have laboured in the cause of BBlitz and salute your efforts, they are very much appreciated.

Pity about Duursma but could see Dylan Shiel playing full time Wing and doing a damn good job of it, has all the attributes of a winger except he only runs one way.
That’s the beauty of Duursma I guess and why it’s his spot to take, he’s unselfish and he’s great both offensively and defensively.
We are a far better side when Duursma is fit and firing.
