Had almost the identical experience.
I’m finding that quordle requires a rethink of tactics. I’m finding guessing two words with entirely different letters for guess 1 and 2 (and then starting to target guessing the actual words based on those results) to be very beneficial. Could even consider doing 3 words before diving in.

For some reason 11 o’clock is for 11, 12 o’clock is for 12, and 1 o’clock is for 13.
No idea why they couldn’t conti ue with using numbers
