RD 21 Dons v Heave Ho @ The G 4 August 2024

Unfortunately going to miss going to the game today.

I kept thinking all week, Brad would have really cooked them all week, they will come out and hit hard.

Then saw the Sydney game last night, they were aweful for a couple of weeks then in the Bulldogs game they didn’t compete at all. So you thought they will come out hard, only for them to not turn up at all against Port.

So not sure now. Only thing I liked what Brad said was going to back to fundamentals. Reminding them to win the contested ball and focus on each contest at a time.

I’ll be heading along today, mostly due to the game being played the G’ in sunny conditions. It’s a rare event at this time of the year.

There’s a level of morbid curiosity involved also.

I’m looking forward to us losing and some chuckle ■■■■■ saying “this is why you don’t just play the kids” like we didn’t get absolutely rinsed last week.

If you attend you are supporting mediocrity

I still remember 6 games all commencing at 2pm on a Saturday.

If you didn’t have your portable radio with you with the long antenna, thus not able to keep up with the other scores, you’d wait till the guys in the scoreboard put up the around the ground scores during the breaks.

From memory, you’d need a Footy Record to know which score was which game.

Sorry…just got nostalgic for a moment.
