Re: Indigenous Support at EFC

Yep we bid on Rioli and a Freo NGA kid as well (Brandon Walker).

Incorrect. The price was a 2nd round pick for Hill. And Dodoro refused to get/give up a 2nd round pick for him. A 2nd round ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  pick.

The price was Lewis Hayes.

We could have taken stengle in the mid season draft, but we chose not to .

He went SSP, and only with Eddie Betts on board.

We really needed someone like Eddie betts on board when we had the Daveys, Munkara, Walla, Courtney Ugle at the club.

When we got Travis Varcoe thought we might make a play for Ugle-hagan as he was his mentor a the Bulldogs.

Maybe Board warned scott off it.

We did offer them a future second, we didn’t have a present second at the time. GWS are the ones that said no

McCartney at the time

Despite this, Giants list boss Jason McCartney said Hill’s latest trade bid came with little forewarning and was not going to be seriously considered unless another player in a similar role was to come through, such as Hawthorn veteran Luke Breust

McCartney wouldn’t have dealt with Dodo even if a first was offered

Sorry, my mistake. The price was a 2nd and a 3rd. Which still would have been a great deal for a player we desperately need.

He wouldn’t have won a norm smith for us that’s for sure. Who did we take with the 2nd and 3rd we needed to offer?

Every single club considered him too much of a risk at that point. How many months had it been since Adelaide and he parted ways mid year?

I’m pretty sure he was a delisted free agent.

Then why did he trade with EFC in 2020?

My understanding of it was the Caldwell trade was the straw that broke the camels back

IN - Sibisado, Collard, Jetta

Why don’t you ā– ā– ā– ā–  off?

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but think I saw a preseason training photo with Travis Varcoe, dunno if he’s still involved at the club in that capacity.

Great post
