That “review” on the Footy Show was a joke. They spent fifteen minutes on the Brisbane blow out, then 5 minutes on a Will Snelling interview that passed as a review.
I guess I should revert to rule one: it’s a ■■■■ show. Hope Elvis Costello sues Channel 9.

I’ve heard King talk up Essendon as much as anybody. He was just wrong when he did it.

And the goal they scored in the last qtr had nothing to do with not ‘patrolling the D50’. Heppell patrolled very well.
A fickle 20m bounce of the ball landed straight into the arms of Ryan who found Waterman easily.
We won because we crowded the ball and had the guts to insist on winning possession versus having lesser soldiers on the outside. A rather obvious strategy given the heavy rain that was falling at the time!!!
King should have noted that we were significantly braver than Wet Toast. Even our kicking and handling of the ball out from defence was a joy to behold in those conditions. We were braver and we won!!

Only reason I watch Sunday Footy Show is for the ribbing they give each other espcially Tony Jones coping it

Agree he is overrated. Nic Nat is unable to get to the fitness level needed for a top AFL ruckman and he is a poor high mark. But he is a good tap ruckman and follows up well. Even though he dominated, we still broke even on clearances overall.
Wow, just checked the website and you are right. I saw them all together before the a north game and was surprised Ridley looked the shortest, must have been an illusion. I still can’t believe Hind is only 180 cm, looked the same size as Hepp.
Ahh blitz what a game last night still over the moon!
Just need sydney to belt carlton and its a perfect round

On Zaka last time OK?
Look at another BB Whipping “Boy”…David Myers.
He realised that his time was done and ASKED to be dropped. He then went back to the 2’s and played his guts out and taught the young guys coming through all he could. THAT was a great sensational deed by a great Essendon guy.
Zaka has always struck me as a “me first” person, observed from afar not having met him. He has lived off THAT goal against the Filth in a ANZAC game ever since. Sure has been a great servant of the Club, but the time comes for all of us.
I would think a lot more of him if he went to the Club and did a David Myers. But he won’t.
That brainfa$t in the last quarter where he could have passed off to Stringer 10m out yet kicked a shanked point is proof in point. I screamed at the TV! Luckily wasn’t holding the controller.
Do the right thing by the CLUB Zaka.

Was uninvolved in the first quarter.
Got into the game in the second quarter.
In the second half it looked like he was being targeted by both sides. We wanted to use him as the link going through the centre corridor to deliver the ball forward. The WEagles were aware of our plan and blocked the corridor effectively. They sat on the last hand ball into the corridor and Zaka being on the end of the chain, was the one who was caught out time and again. He didn’t have the vision or pace to avoid the tackle, nor the strength to break them, but then no one is going to get out of a tackle by Nic Nat.
Overall, he had a poor match and was largely ineffective. Burnt Stringer in the last with an errant kick that wasn’t a pass and was not a shot on goal either.

How good is footy now ? At the beginning of the year it was “I’m not looking forward to playing the Eagles in Perth or Richmond etc” now it’s Bring on Richmond, bring on the Swans. ( really want to win that one ). Win lose or draw I’m looking forward to every game.
Our young guys also bring height. They go for every marking contest and create something. They might not win but more often than not the ball comes to ground. Cox on Nic Nac created a contest. Also no fear his tackle by the way would of made Zerrett very happy.
