What a soap opera this year has been.
There were warning signs 10 minutes into the first practice match against Carlton and apart from the Brisbane and North games we never looked like a side that would challenge this year.
The five wins in a row were nice, but none of them convincing.
Redman’s emergence, Stringer’s consistency and Saad’s continued growth were my highlights.
Injuries were the lowlights.
The concern is that while we have a lot of very good names on our list, I’m not sure what we do to jump from 8th to top 6 and further.
I think we need to stop chasing players to trade in and draft a couple this year.
