Injuries again…same old Essendon
I actually turned it off when we were 10 points up in the last. Felt like the captain of the farken titanic, again. Opened a bottle of Merricks Creek Pinot and ran a bath. Obviously looked at the phone, but you know…. I knew… we knew…… Collingwood knew…
Langford 3
Setterfield 2
Davey /Mcgrath 1 hard to give last vote
Nek minnit.
It’s over by the way.
Losses to Geelong, Port (away), Brisbane (away) then an 11th v 12th Dreamtime nightmare against a Richmond team we haven’t beaten in a decade.
They were able to force the ball to someone on their own just outside the contest most the day if we didn’t win it quick
Did Stringer win the Anzac Medal?
Having no Zerrett
Then losing Lav
Meant our structure went to absolute ■■■■, then the midfield just collapsed. I really thought Hobbs would do more but he clearly not ready for the pace and physicality of an afl game, especially anzac day
Davey?..…
It’s not often you can locate the exact turning point of a game.
Two horrible turnovers from one player.
Both gave them momentum.
This can’t be blamed on being inexperienced.
Nor can it be blamed on being overwhelmed by the experience.
You all know what I’m talking about.
HaPpY ClApPeR!
We is Essendon.
We should go from bottom to greatness without the pesky development to time needed in the middle.
It our Blitz destiny…
We actually didn’t touch the ball much in the last quarter- at all!
It’s a game dude. The sun will rise tomorrow morning.
Why??
We got smoked when the game was on the line, and found zero…
That’s nothing to be proud of….
Anyway, keep believing the club is building like you have for 20 years
Now we focus on how to lose Dreamtime for the 9th year in a row.
With the exception of the 3rd got mauled in the middle all day. Couldn’t do anything about Daicos. Made Sidebottom look like he was 20 again.
If we can pin the hitting of the wall on our fitness. Then it doesn’t bode well. We had 10 days. Now we only have 5 before we play Geelong.
Next week will be a real challenge. Some serious injury concerns too.
If they’re good, we’re good, but I dont think they’re that good

When you’re 28 points up and have the momentum you just have to capitalise. I don’t believe in the excuses right now, we needed that win so desperately and the players flew the white flag.

We were beaten by a fitter side who have amazing self belief.
We will be better for it under a better coach this time around.
Merret would have been handy.
As would our FF.
It’s not the end of the world.
