The worst part about the win is we have to listen to people sook about winning all week.

I had the best night in the new house, fresh feel, bringing the Bombers home

NONE of them moved the needle.

Only 5 pick 1s have ever won a flag, of these, Luke Hodge being the only genuine champion.

Our youngsters, as a collective (including a number of top 10s), laid a baseline marker today for the future. We need a whole of club shift in attitude, culture, and ethic. These kids didn’t just echo hollow words of the past, they spoke with their effort and action. Spiwit, Bwavado, Dewwing-do.

It gave me hope. Real hope. That plenty of these boys may be the real deal. Perhaps they’ll get a little sense of that themselves. Only wins can do that. And belief is attractive. Sure, we are still desperate for more high end talent. And maybe Arty and Sparrow take a second look now. That alone may be worth considerably more than the difference between picks 1 and 2.

So I’m going to embrace, appreciate and f#c#ing enjoy this win!

Cats, not Pies.

And no chance. He is gone to Geelong.

CBA’s today

Durham 18 for 2 centre clearances

Caldwell 16 for 1 centre clearance

Merrett 13 for 0 centre clearances

Robey 10 for 1 centre clearance

Sharp 4 for 3 centre clearances

Solly is possibly trying to protect his shoulder a bit but we looked really strong in the middle with him there and I’ve never been convinced that Durham and Caldwell work well together

For those at the ground. How funny was it seeing Huss jump and punch the air twice when we just took 2 marks in the last 60 seconds. That meant so much to many

I really want this club to be a powerhouse again, and to do that we need every advantage we can get.

I’m happy for the players to experience a win, especially the draftees but I don’t want to mortgage future success for a morale booster.

not seeking to completely discredit the point you’re making, but you could have at least included a second club here

It’s not about you. It’s about the Essendon younger players getting some reward for playing with grit.

The obnoxious drunk at the pub gets all the attention too. It’s not the personal win you think it is

Tell you what we are so hyped after that, everyone was outstanding not even in the last few years when we were winning 10 games a year we played like that, has to be one of the best bomber games I’ve seen, Imagine if Caddy played Essendon would had won by 20

I’m on the fence between Butler and HVH anyway. Let fate decide. Butler gives me Zak Butters vibes.

Enjoy :clinking_beer_mugs:. I have dragged my son along to the last few home games and it has been a shittttshow. He played footy in Dromana this afternoon so it was a close call if we went to this game or not so decided to watch from home. Spewing we missed out on going to this game. Drinking double Jim Beams at home instead of $16 cheap vodkas at the ground was an advantage of not going to the game.
