Review thread - Dons d Adelaide - the road trip specialists

I’ve seen punters in the stands who are more composed.

Our form this past month has been something special considering the injuries.

The win against GWS. Ripper finish and at that stage would take any win we could get.

Win against the Swans. Gritty, hard fought and redemption for earlier in the year.

Win against Norf. Tippa magic, snatched win from the jaws of defeat? Who knows but it was ■■■■■■■ amazing.

Win against the Crows at their home turf, with 5 of our top 10 out. By far the best win of the lot. Dont want to get ahead of myself… but ■■■■ we are a good chance at winning a final this year and i cant wait.

I think we’ll beat Suns relatively easily and with the win tonight we don’t need the 100 point percentage booster. Suns are ■■■■■■■ ■■■■, Adelaide smoked them by 15 goals last week. All we need to do is get the points and don’t get injuries.

:joy::joy::joy: like at Royal?

Not since 2014 (Round 18 we were 4th) have we been in a better position on the ladder at about this round of the season.

This is huge for the team.

Watched the last 20 minutes while stuck on the tarmac at Auckland airport. My kids and I yelled so loud the flight attendant came to check if we were ok. Sorry AirNz but what a win!

It’s the way we are winning now that is impressive. No longer do we require shoot outs or teams to attack us to win. We can beat teams who try to choke our run as well and also on the counter attack. Plus with the injuries it is giving players more chances to stand up.

I was just happy to take the L and not lose too much percentage. To win after being 5 goals down interstate against another top 8 team, while being 0-3 interstate this year is as well, ■■■■■■ hell.

Well played Bombers

When was the last time we won 4 in a row?

At half time we are 19 points down. Ha ha ha ha

2013, we won 6 in a row twice

Yep, Collingwood have averaged 1-2 of these arsey, injury-riddled, backs-to-the-wall, interstate wins every season for about the last 15 years. Yeah, all wins are worth 4 points, but you can build a culture over time off these sorts of wins.

Seriously impressive.

12.3 to 3.6 after we were down by 5 goals. Fair comeback.

That’s 4 games I think where we have been 30+ down against them and won

We need double the likes in a win.

The key thing for me tonight was how much better we looked coming out of defence without Hurley taking the kick-outs or being the switch-man.

Sure Hurley is a great defender, but with ball in hand, his indecisive and conservative kicks are holding us back in that area. Tonight really re-enforced that for me.

Smart, selfless footy with great attack on the oppositions ball carrier, Adelaide couldn’t handle the heat in their own kitchen.

Belief.

It’s a bit sad but I agree.

Give it to franga
