Review thread - Dons d Adelaide - the road trip specialists

I thought the last five minutes of the first half were critical. We literally hung in there, and kept ourselves in touch with them. Because we were still in touch at 20 points I thought we were still in it with a chance.

Zerk was in frame in a shot in the rooms with Begley

Just to temper the enthusiasm.

Our first half was woeful and Adelaide if they were decent in front of goal could have buried us.

They didnt and then we ran over them. Emphatically.

Im hungover as ■■■■ after hitting Brunswick St after that but I am awake now and in some glowing post coital footy bliss. What a glorious weekend we have before us. Go Dons.

Too gutless and pathetic to post on the Woosha thread.

That’s our shtick… run over them in the last quarter.

Fitness guys have copped some grief for injuries and a slow start to the year. But no one is running out last quarters like us

One thing I’ve really noticed and enjoyed lately is the extra effort the players are putting in after an error. Couple of weeks ago Redman had a noticeable one, last night early Parish had a bad handball and worked his ■■■ off to make up for it…McGrath also…just something I’ve noticed and absolutely love it.

Time to draw the blinds, get the Vaseline out and put on the replay.

Mongrel Punt review is up. Always a good read even if he waffles a bit here and there

Damn. That’s harsher than the second quarter of the match day thread.

So many going full Fark Carlton (Brown is the worst player ever)… @bobo’s words of wisdom remain as relevant as ever.

Merrett last goal stopped literally 600mm over the line. Just magnificent.

Hah, I checked WOB’s last post and yes, it was after the Richmond game. Since then we’ve gone 5 wins out of 6 (although the only loss was against WC in Perth, which he probably would have been at). I bet he’s over the moon with our recent form.

I’d share WOB’s thoughts on our recent form but most of it would be blacked out anyway.

I like how Tex raised a nasty elbow to try to hurt Redders halfway through the 1st, … and Reds just turns a hip and broke it for him, … sending him to the bench in complete agony.

Smile I did.

6 out of 7 actually

Poor wob, he deserves to enjoy this moment with us as much as anyone.

we’d be second if the Rampe incident was acted on and not had ANZAC day stolen from us by those incompetent umpires

Better. West Coast full squibbed it in that game last year. Adelaide aren’t in the same post code as WC but they are the ultimate downhill skiers and got 30 pts up last night. To clamp down on the game, wrestle back momentum, then put them to the sword in the last was legit.

Yes, I forgot to include last night’s win :man_facepalming:
