Geez that almost felt worse than watching the Tigers game, didn’t it?
Had a crack in the 2nd half.
Once again let down by senior players
Percentage booster.
Hard ball gets: 28-10.
We have too many players on the list who won’t do what needs to be done when it’s needed.
And it ain’t the new blokes.
4 more games to go
Hobbs should have been on ball.
Meh.
Honourable-ish loss
I hate every Sydney player and the club.
Worse than Carlton
Tbf Swans form recently hasn’t been the worst so it’s not a disgraceful result to have a close one but both teams would be pretty embarrassed hopefully
No-one was struck by lightning. I was sure with our luck that would happen so I’m overall happy.
Left it till after HT to start giving a damm
Where was it in the first half?
I’ll take it
Last qtr effort was good. But gee we play way too loose. I’m not seeing how that combines with an obvious and effective game style. It’s mainly reactive.
Just need to wrap the year up with minimising injuries and then sort through what this season has shown us we need to work on and sort out. Gotta focus on the fundamentals before we think about finessing our style of play.
and Nguyen had an excellent debut, well done to him.
I thought we did ok, especially in the second half. Goal kicking is still a problem and I won’t talk about Hobbs but the youngsters gave it a good shot. I like Nguyen.
Good effort by the boys, severely undermanned but had a dip. From the kids: Kako, Blakiston, May, Clarke and Roberts showed something.
from the seniors only Duz can really hold his head high.
at least we fought it out.
We tanked in the last 10 minutes and I can tell you why. Merrett only had 11 touches in the first 3 quarters and in the first half of the last he got 7 touches and got us in the game. So what does Brad do, puts Merrett in the forward line away from the play. Now I’m all for it and I’m glad that we put up a great fight and didn’t win because we need elite talent in the door in next year’s draft but I had Zac for 20 plus and he only got 19. I had Zac for 20 us and cost me my multi by one possession. Saying that the boys gave it a good crack and I think our future will be bright with these young fellas getting games under their belts.
We didn’t hurt our draft position and Sydney simply could not be proud of that win.
Nguyen embarrassed Papley. Dominated him mentally from the start. ■■■■ that guy.
I’m in no way angry about the results, better than we had a right to expect. But FAAAAARK me we have some really crap attitudes running around out there.
The gloss is fading off Merrett in a big way at the moment. He just isn’t stepping up. And that play where Duzz won the hard ball get (one of our ten) and Zach have him lip for not nailing the handball… rubbish leadership. Weak.
He needs to sort it out.
I can’t imagine any of the former captains he met with recently would be telling him that this is how to go about it.
I thought the kids were great today.
Durham was supreme and Merrett led and tried.
Nyugen was exceptional, great game.
Kako is developing nicely.
Can we clone Durham X 5
The negatives:
Goldy…. seriously
Guelfi missing.
Perkins, forgot he was playing after quarter time.
Laverde, has to be the worst disposer of the ball in the AFL, although McGrath & Shiel do their best to depose him.
Redman just doesn’t take on the tough roles, too often leaves them to the kids.
Gresham is midfield or delisted.
Forward coach…. do we have one?
Found 2 in Blakiston & May, really don’t think McMahon or Smartt are up to it.
Hobbs not good enough.
Iron Hands (Wright) gives us nothing, please trade.
That’s a bit harsh
Did you see how GWS played with just 3 of their senior players out
Our team lacks consistency because they aren’t used to playing with each other . And young players lacking fitness to run out a full AFL game
