Big positive tonight is that Reid copped some knocks after being kneed during the week and played out the game with out issue
Again?
When did the previous dicking stop?
This is where the “you can only beat what’s in front of you” attitude falls short. You can actually go far beyond getting the 4 points, and good sides will smash bad sides more often than not if they are truly the real deal.
How many more youngsters are there?
when we beat them without bont last year
I guess I just don’t like other people being ■■■■■■ to the players?
We can ■■■■■ and moan, but ■■■■■■■■ like that carrying on ■■■■■■ me off.
All of a sudden, I’m on Bailey Smith’s side.
Too busy yelling in to a cheese grater I’ve vigorously applied to my sack.
It says a lot that our senior team lost by more than blokes who are literally in wheelchairs.
I agree with the majority of what you’ve posted, but don’t you think we actually are in a full blown rebuild, and just not saying it out loud for marketing purposes?
The only thing I can think we haven’t done yet is trade out a genuinely big name, but everything else screams rebuild.
What more would you do?
I think the Stringer trade is pretty close?
I would play Tsatas. What’s there to lose? At this stage we’re lowering his trade value and like to lose him by year end.
It’s the right attitude, but it’s not Parish.
Yes that’s valid, but he hasn’t shown anything at the level. At all.
I think he has what it takes, but something needs to be unlocked to transition to AFL standard.
I’m not sure his trade value improves on his current AFL form.
I agree you might as well plonk him in the seniors for 6 weeks straight and see if it clicks, but it definitely isn’t a matter of “we don’t play the kids”.
My thoughts whilst witnessing that.
Midfield needs more class. We couldnt get our hands on it and they were flicking clean handballs whilst still being tackled. Tsatas would be better than Shiel or Setterfield.
Backline needs more class. Rush the behinds and stick tackles ffs.
Forwardline coaching has been crap for years. Just copy what Hawthorn and Collingwood do.
Actually playing him would be a good start
He’s been played and was so terrible that a run wasn’t warranted.
However like I said, what’s to lose by letting him stink for 6 weeks straight? Maybe he’ll click.
90% of people on here were stoked he flipped our club upside down to sack Rutten and chase Clako because “at least he was doing something and making a change.”
This is that change. Congrats all.
It’s sink or swim for me, as I think he’d be likely to seek a trade at year end. If we’re genuinely rebuilding give the kid some stability in the 1s as opposed to in and out, oh and sorry mate we have a bye in the VFL this week. It’s not giving him a great chance.
If we are in a full rebuild I’d also hope that Visenti gets an opportunity because, despite him being all heart, Goldy is not exactly lighting it up and he’s no spring chicken.
I’m not disagreeing but he’s played 5 full games in 3 years.
But you’re right, there’s nothing to lose. Just play him.
I reckon Vigo will get a ■■■■ at some point, but I don’t think he should.
Not because he’s crap, but because in ruckman terms he is just too young.
Protect him for a bit longer
I do agree that tsatas is dropped when more senior players perform badly, but as much as I’d love him to hit his straps, he has been utterly terrible in just about every senior game he’s played.
But then, Kako has been trash for three weeks and he’s still in so I take your point.
