Review vs our owners (Dogs)

Was poor coaching, but mostly I think this result just showed the huge talent gap between us and the good sides

Seems like a bit of a hike.

Can’t I just look it up online?

You don’t want the boys to rebound with a win next week after tonight

Duursma runs all night. Can’t fault the effort.

Have to recognise that the Dogs were ON tonight and conversely we were absolute toilet. Game was done in the first 15 minutes.

I don’t want to make him out like he’s the root of all evil, but Scott’s management of the game tonight was horrific. To let Dale get 49 (fourty-nine) touches from half back & subbing El-Hawli is something you’d expect from a rookie coach, not a 15 year veteran.

Has done since he got here.
Gotta accept the occasional skill errors from a bloke that works so bloody hard.

Incredible in the sense that it’s not credible, perhaps.

The dogs have our number no matter what we do or try we cant beat them

But… but… how’s about those Standards™??

If you are that kind of supporter then you are more than welcome to Fark Off.

I bet you didn’t leave last week when we were winning against the team that played off in the 2024 granny.

Take the good with the bad

For me, that was our worst midfield performance in 10 years.

Absolutely smashed all over the ground. Couldn’t spread, couldn’t chase, couldn’t tackle. Just a ■■■■ poor effort.

I thought Reid and McKay held up OK considering how much ball they had to deal with

And what a poor coaching performance. How could we let Dale get 49 touches and over 1km in meters gained?

Thank ■■■■ Collingwood has an opposition.

Go bulldogs you’re our only hope.

We allowed them to play like that. People need to understand this. Squads just don’t rock up and are ‘on’. They are on because we allowed it, due to alot of things. It was a training drill tonight. Its like watching a div 1 footy team play against a div 3

Don’t give me that bullshit
They were pathetic tonight. They deserved to be booed off the field by the little amount of Essendon fans that stayed to the end

I bet you I know what Brad Scott is thinking…“this is the last time I start Shiel as sub”…and who does he fkn sub off, fkn Saad?!? Has Saad actually taken a ■■■■ in his breakfast or something? Single handily ruining his career and confidence. I bet you Scott drops him next week too and brings in say, fkn Guelfi…

Overall, we look slower, weaker, can’t tackle, poorly skilled and an utterly disorganised rabble. This was the 2019 game all over again.

McGrath, Redman and Prior are utterly diabolical. What a pathetic defence. Cheap disposals left right and centre but can’t defend, no spacial awareness, poorly skilled, no idea what to do, plus drawn into contests allowing their man go free. They ■■■■ the bed every time, but have no idea what to do when they have it. Some of Ben McKays lazy kicking is unforgivable.

Hobbs looks like a child compared to his opponents. Literally.

Midfield is utterly pox. Caldwell was diabolical. People will give Durham votes but fck he was useless for most of the game. Merrett took the night off again, even he’s given up hope. Setterfield is smack bang plodder D grade midfield…but aslong as the stats are high.

Langford has been utterly ■■■■■ all year. Any chance he could contribute this year?

Shiels kicking is utterly pathetic for a grown 32 year old. Those scrubber, high floaty kicks is his jam.

Goldy has rings ran around him but its not his fault, I guess.

I paid so little attention to that second half that I accidentally stayed to the end.
