Well over the years one thing has improved at the club. I think the supporters sarcastic humour is now “next level”. Despite my current day after hatred of our club I still get a laugh out of some of these comments.

As long as we persist with whatever the fark our gameplan is, and remain as poorly skilled as we are, the defense will get smashed on the turnover from here to eternity.
Our set-up is atrocious. All the defenders sucked up ball-chasing, constantly leaving us exposed once the inevitable turnover happens.
A pisspoor list trained by a pisspoor fitness department and coached by a pisspoor coach. The perfect shitstorm…

Listening to SEN this morning, player agent and former bomber Scott Lucas was talking about clubs wanting to recruit his client Harry Perryman. He said there was lots of interest from multiple clubs, but Essendon wasn’t one of them. He felt that Perryman would be a very good fit at Essendon because of their repeated inability to transition successfully out of defence and Perryman’s speed and skill set. We’ll probably hear shortly that Laverde has been re-signed to a new 5 year contract. That’s just Essington!

Mac Andrew is my new favourite non Essendon player. He put an entire club on its arse and laughed in our face doing it.

the length of this alone is the problem . these players all get far too easy access to senior spots . it’s hard to see a time when this will ever be fixed . even if we bottom out like some say , there is no guarantee we will draft the right ones to start again . the mess we are in is 20 years of poor trades and drafting let alone coaches .
even if we bottom out again you’d think we might go through at least 2 to 5 years of draft / trade failure like all clubs do before building the lisr or getting it right .
this problem now in a smaller talent pool is quite possibly permanent unless we get really lucky with 2 ot 3 one in a generation drafts .
I don’t see that realistic.
so the only way out of this is to get better talent scouts , co-ordinate better with the coaches.
get better at picking players up like Durham etc , surely there has to be more out there, late developers that were not quite ready at 17 or 18, and we have to keep turning over the list more often till we find some .have a much lower tolerance for average players . we need someone ruthless at the top of the club to drive this and work with the senior coach .

I think the time to get James back as senior coach has passed. the media is a reality and the footy public wouldn’t cop it. too much noise too much to deal with. but I think we should get him as president or ceo or something meaningful to drive this club back into existence
