There’s a reason he runs to the pockets to take his shots. Makes it look so easy (especially in contrast to Norf!)
Pidge is going to be (correction: is) a really, really excellent footballer.
His midfield craft is not a surprise but his nous around goal is.

We seemed to control the game across the whole ground from the first bounce. Even when we fumbled you knew we would get it back. In the past, against ordinary teams, we have played down to their level, but not today.
Massive test next week.

Norf today were funnier than 80s St Kilda. Soooo many fluffs and fumbles and mis-kicks even when under no pressure.
Lot to like about that. Shiel is hitting form. Brown! McGrath is becoming deadly. Smith and Zaka to come back in after that midfield dominance! Joe is back! Hooker, Hurley and Ambrose are firing down back. Redman. That kid is going to be something. Francis, Gleeson, Langford going to need to smash it in the VFL to dislodge anyone. We get rid of those little brain fades and skill errors in the third and we may just be able push anyone on our day.

Three weeks in a row now we’ve played a team down in form according to the experts. What a shame… we might have a legitimate win in the coming weeks?
Midfield masterclass that will welcome back Zaharakis & Smith next week.
Pre-game the odds for this game were very close. North won their last game and love nothing more than beating us, especially in a marquee game they have made their own over the last few years.
To win by 10 goals = sensational. Next week is the acid test though.

Very wasteful early and got beaten in transition early but after 1/4 time we ground them into the dirt. Still nervous when we have a kick in but it at least seems that we have more of an idea now.
Our mids were fantastic and thought we beat them comfortably around the ball. Our tackling was was huge but unfortunately we didn’t get our rewards for many.
Shithouse seats and too many Norf farkwits around us but managed to keep my cool for 80% of the game

Looked really great these past three weeks but Collingwood will be the real test on Anzac day. Collingwood could really burn us with some of the mistakes we made early in the game.

Franga, Langford, Laverde and Gleeson are going to struggle to get into this team. McKernan and Stewart and Draper are also not going to get in based on today.
